TESTIMONIALS
My husband, Dan, had end stage glioblastoma. I had been his caregiver for the past 18 months. I couldn’t handle all I had to do. I called her and she came the next day. I liked her and we bonded immediately. Dan liked her also. I told her I felt guilty not taking care of him myself. I got over that real fast. Now I could have quality time with my husband cooking and having meals together. Not feeling overwhelmed with his bathing, using the restroom, and feeling so scared of being alone when he had an occasional fall.
Marcella and her crew were 24/7. She was my angel. She was with us for 2 months. My (grown) children loved Marcella also. They sat up many nights with him. It was a difficult time for us all. He passed peacefully in April 2017. Marcella was with us during his final breath. We remain close to this day.
When my mother in law’s health started to fail in 2019 I immediately asked Marcella for her services. My mother in law was a tough cookie and only needed 3 days a week of help. She loved all the aids that came to help her.
I have recommended Caring Hands of Infinity to a number of friends with aging parents and also a few friends with cancer. Everyone (and I mean everyone) has had positive experiences.
This is not a large commercial agency. Marcella and her staff are the most loving and caring people you will ever know. Large agencies hire people who are not really vetted. A family agency, such as Caring Hands, is so much more personal. Don’t let guilt make you put off hiring help. I highly recommend Caring Hands of Infinity.

Earlier this year, I called Marcella at Caring Hands when my husband entered hospice. From my initial phone call and assessment, to my husband’s passing, Marcella and Edna were outstanding. They were kind, compassionate, and skilled professionals - truly angels who took extraordinary care of my husband while supporting me. They enabled me to keep my husband at home instead of having to send him to a facility. After my husband passed away, Marcella continued to check in with me to see how I was coping. I have dealt with numerous doctors, nurses and other health professionals over the course of my husband’s extended illness. I can say wholeheartedly that Marcella and Edna stand out and my family and I will be forever grateful to them.
People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When people come into your life for a reason, they usually meet a specific need you have or assist you with a difficulty to provide guidance and support, either physically emotionally, or spiritually. When our need is met, the work is done and the person often disappears for various reasons. People can also come into your life for a season, teaching or sharing something, but only lasting a season. Then there are lifetime relationships, ones where you build a long-lasting relationship that provides you with life-long lessons. You love the person and put what you have learned from them into all other relationships and areas of your life.
Marcella Mears definitely came into my life in 2008 for a reason. My Mom, a recent widow who did not want to leave her home, was deteriorating with a serious blood disorder. In-home care became an immediate need, and with a referral from a friend, my family and I met Marcella. She came into our lives like an angel dropped from heaven. From the moment we met Marcella, I loved her, my family members loved her, and most importantly, Mom loved her. Her care for Mom immediately proved to be extraordinary. Marcella was meticulously competent, genuinely kind and undeniably dependable. She cared for Mom just like we did and she became a member of our family instantly. Mom prevailed for six months under Marcella’s care. This was a devastating and stressful time for our family, but knowing that Marcella was caring for Mom when we could not be there with her was more comforting than words can describe.
Marcella provided a need for us that was urgent, critical and time intensive. We saw and interacted with Marcella every day for six months. After Mom passed, our need was met, our work was done, and it would have been natural for Marcella ‘to disappear’ as do those who come into your life ‘for a reason’. Instead, 12 years later, we remain life-long friends. We stay in touch and have frequent visits, keeping up with each other’s lives. I can’t adequately describe in words the value that Marcella has added to my life. Her genuine love and concern for all people and the way she cares for someone who is sick or lonely is incredible. She now has her own business and hires care takers who demonstrate the same qualities as she possesses. I wish her success in her business venture. If only there were more Marcellas on this earth!
